Top 5: Upgrades Under $100 Pt.2

Last October, we wrote an article titled Top 5: Upgrades Under $100 Pt.1 (click here to read), which was well-received. We know that as expensive as the RC lowrider hobby is, it doesn’t always have to break the bank. Listed below (in no particular order), you’ll find some fun upgrades that’ll give your ride some flair because, after all, a unique build is what we’re all striving for, isn’t it?

NUMBER 5

Number five on our list, we have Waterslide decals by Straight Up RC. These decals are great because they’re very thin, giving the impression that your design has been painted on as opposed to placed on top of your ride. Additionally, you can purchase the stock designs available on the site, or you can reach out and get a custom design made for you. What’s better than that? Not sure which type of decals to purchase for your car? Check out this [blog post](insert_link) where we break down the differences, but if you’re certain that water slide is the way to go, they’re available on Straight Up RC’s eBay store for only $15.00.

NUMBER 4

Number four on our list is the Chromed-out upper and lower arms! As a business that came into the game with suspension parts (C-hubs), we understand the importance of having show-ready suspension parts all too well. If you’ve never messed with the suspension parts on your lowrider, you’ll find that your ride comes with black A-arms that match the black chassis and frame. One of the quickest and cheapest ways to spice things up will be to trade out those stock A-arms with a chrome pair. Available on Redcat’s website for only $17.99.

NUMBER 3

Third on this list is the ever-popular chrome rear axle housing with a different cover. If you’re into hopping or simply interested in showcasing your low low on display stands, then you know that you have to keep that undercarriage ready to go. Available for only $13.99 on Redcat's website, this is an upgrade that, though subtle, won’t go unnoticed.

NUMBER 2

Second up, we have the custom window plaques by RCPlaques. These plaques are a perfect way to shout your crew out or to simply showcase the name you’ve given your build. It’s as easy as choosing your car model, whether to have a chrome or gold finish on it, and writing the phrase that will be printed for your ride, and boom, process complete. Available in their Etsy store for $40.00, these plaques are worth every penny.

NUMBER 1

Last but certainly not least, we have the legendary Jevries! His convertible top attachment is the perfect addition to anyone with a drop-top (I’m looking at you gold digger owners) or anyone simply looking to chop their hardtop and replace it with a ragtop. Its realistic ridges and color choices aren’t something you’ll want to pass up. Available on the Jevries site now for $29.99.
